The old mill (1344) and the historical barn

open every first and third Sunday of the month or by appointmentWelcome to Burgberg and the old mill dated 1344. Here you can expect an exciting journey back in time. The mill has been lovingly restored by members of the mill’s association and lies between rolling streams and silent woods. In the mill’s museum you can find information about craftsmanship in years gone by and about life and work over 100 years ago. Also you can be given information about the traditional production of the Burgberger slippers.
When the millwheel turns and grinds, the past comes to life and with a diameter of six metres it is one of the largest millwheels in Germany.

The beautifully restored barn is next to the old mill. Visitors can enjoy Swabian hospitality and culinary treats in a historical atmosphere. Cultural activities with seasonal highlights, exhibitions, artists or performances of your own choice are also held here and the room accommodates up to 128 people. It is ideal for individual events, for example if you are planning a seminar with your company, a lecture, a family celebration or the end of an excursion – the historical barn is always the right choice.
